Robert Knox (Author of “Suosso’s Lane”)

Author of “Suosso’s Lane,” a novel based on the Sacco-Vanzetti case. The novel deals primarily with the life of Bartolomeo Vanzetti, who lived in Plymouth MA at the time of his arrest, and with subsequent developments in the case up to the executions on Aug. 23, 1927. The novel is 570 pages. Its treatment of the case is factual, but its portrayal of Vanzetti’s life is novelistic. I’ve invented a woman friend and lover for Vanzetti, a suffragist living in Plymouth.

The book was well received by readers and drew media attention in Eastern Massachusetts, especially in the Plymouth area, where I lived and wrote for local newspapers and the Boston Globe. I gave talks at regional libraries, museums, and book groups. I spoke several times at the Sacco-Vanzetti Commemoration Society, which holds events in Boston. The publisher holds sole rights to selling the book online and does not permit it to be sold on Amazon, so I sell the paperbacks myself.
