After spending two years living in Rojava and working at Mala Jin (Women’s House), which is part of the justice system there, and the Rojava Information Center, a collective of volunteers on the ground in solidarity, traveling around and documenting the situation, Clara will present on restorative justice in Rojava. They will cover, with transparency and honesty, the challenges faced in building systems of restorative justice and the dilemmas they have dealt with daily.

The Women’s House is a place where women (and men) can go to claim their rights under the new Women’s Law by seeking shelter and/or initiating conversations with family members for a variety of domestic abuse issues in an effort to find a solution before the court system/police get involved.
