Stop Cop City United (SCC) is a football team that plays in numerous tournaments and leagues in New York City, including the Autonomous Football League. SCC was founded in March 2023 in response to the murder of Weelaunee forest defender Tortuguita, and to express solidarity with the movement to Defend the Atlanta Forest and to Stop Cop Cities everywhere. In 2024, they helped organize the Stop Cop City Cup in Queens.

At the book fair, we will be tabling zines and materials that we have produced since founding, as well as materials by comrades which we have used in our political education sessions and reading groups. We will be raising money for asylum-seeker comrades to help cover their legal and living expenses. We will also be hosting informal matches throughout the day—come through to play soccer with us!
