James Mason is today’s foremost neo-Nazi terrorist ideologue. His book “Siege” advocates massacres, serial killings, and assassinations as a way to create a National Socialist state, and it has inspired groups such as the Atomwaffen Division. But it only exists because in the 1980s and ’90s, four countercultural musicians and publishers—Boyd Rice, Adam Parfrey, Nikolas Schreck, and Michael Moynihan—discovered and sold Mason to the underground industrial, neofolk, and punk scene. This talk will reveal this story—including how anarchists of the time reacted to both these four, as well as to “Siege” itself.
