AK Press is a worker-run collective that publishes and distributes radical books and other media to expand minds and change worlds. We’re anarchists, which is reflected both in the books we provide and in the way we organize our business. Decisions at AK Press are made democratically, from what we publish, to what we distribute and how we structure our labor. Our goal is supplying radical ideas to as many people as possible. The books and other media we distribute are mostly published by independent presses, not the corporate giants. We make them widely available to as tools for social movements struggling to build a new world.

The Anarchy Group includes members with various interests active in and around South Korea. It meets regularly in Seoul as a space for members to share what they have been thinking about and doing. The group has done a number of projects together, starting from translating into Korean and distributing crimethinc’s To Change Everything (2015), organizing the “Anarchy Film Festival” (아나키 영화제) (Sunhwadong 2015, Takeout Drawing 2016), holding the “Little Black Books in My Bookshelf” (내 책장의 작고 검은 책) Anarchist Book Sharing at Kongyuji (2019), hosting the “Anarchy Summer” (아나키의 여름) talk events with contemporary anarchists Oksusu, Joyakgol, Takcheong Lane Collective, and Kim Miryeong at Redbooks bookstore (2019, 2020), and producing the Black Book Assembly Newsletter South Korea Edition: Little Black Book (2020).

Paper Machine is a 5000 sq ft printshop in the Lower 9th Ward housing a range of traditional and cutting edge print technologies, to enhance, amplify, and explore New Orleans’s rich printing heritage while providing significant opportunities for artists and residents of the Lower Ninth Ward and beyond.

As a project of Antenna, the space opened in 2017, housing the organization’s printing and publication efforts, studios for print based artists, a huge Rube-Goldberg-style sculptural print machine, and the Artist Book Collection. Paper Machine offers artist-driven exhibitions, programs, and classes exploring the boundaries of print technologies.

Bound Together Bookstore is an anarchist volunteer collective-run bookstore featuring radical literature and events. We are located on unceded Ramaytush (Yelamu) Ohlone Land, in what is now known as San Francisco’s Haight Ashbury district. We’ve been in the Haight since 1976 and at our present location since May 1st, 1983. The Center for a Stateless Society (C4SS) is an anarchist think-tank and media center. Club A Kitchen is a mutual aid group based around the intersection of Myrtle & Broadway in Brooklyn, NY. Every Wednesday & Saturday we distribute prepared & non-perishable food, snacks, hygiene supplies, and occasionally harm reduction supplies, to anyone who needs it – all for free. During COVID-19, the maneuver has gone from serving around 60-100 people once a week, to serving over 600 people twice a week. We aim for Club A Kitchen to be a reliable and consistent facet & stream of resources for those who experience uncertainty and instability in their daily lives. Author of “Suosso’s Lane,” a novel based on the Sacco-Vanzetti case. The novel deals primarily with the life of Bartolomeo Vanzetti, who lived in Plymouth MA at the time of his arrest, and with subsequent developments in the case up to the executions on Aug. 23, 1927. The novel is 570 pages. Its treatment of the case is factual, but its portrayal of Vanzetti’s life is novelistic. I’ve invented a woman friend and lover for Vanzetti, a suffragist living in Plymouth.

World War 3 Illustrated is an annual anthology of political comics and a political arts collective with a 40 year history. We started in 1979 as a response to the rise of Ronald Reagan, and have continued as an all volunteer, democratically managed magazine ever since. In the 1980s and 90s we were one of the first publications to take up the cause of the Lower East Side Squatters Movement, Move and Mumia Abu Jamal. We started to address issues of police brutality and gentrification in 1983 and have continued to this day. Our current issue comes out in the middle of the world wide pandemic.
