Concept: TRANSGRESSORS

One of the aspects that interest us in Art is the fact that it is a territory in which we have greater freedom to construct other possibilities of the world, as well as being a territory that allows developing some consciousness in the process of creating ourselves. We artists from the Book Fair have been working with our consciousness, not with violence…

It emphasizes physical dialogues, non-verbal imagery, consensus-building and problem-solving processes, and techniques for developing awareness of both external and internalized forms of oppression. In Image Theater, the body is used to create images that help participants explore power relations and group solutions to concrete problems. This workshop will begin at 8:00pm sharp. There will be no observers; all are expected to actively participate. In order to insure the creation of a safe, inclusive and supportive space for all, participants are asked to arrive by 7:45pm, and are expected to stay until the end. WORKSHOP FOCUS: Practice consensus-building.
